Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett joins as a director the REMEPY startup company of Michal Tzur, his former partner from Sayota.
The new company operates in the field of digital health and for the first time integrates software into medicines.
The REMEPY company leads a vision of hybrid medicines, which include a dedicated digital application that improves the effect of the medicine.
The company is a pioneer in the field of drug development, and is the first in the world to prove in preliminary clinical trials the physiological effect of its digital applications using fMRI scans (a scan that examines brain activity), blood tests and medical questionnaires.
The effects that the company has already demonstrated have the potential to influence medical outcomes in neurological diseases, cancer, autoimmune diseases and degenerative eye diseases.
Ramfi was founded about a year ago by Or Shuval (who served as an officer in the General Staff, a unit in which Bennett also served), Dr. Michal Tzur (Bennet's former partner from Sayota, and one of the founders of Kaltura) and Prof. Amir Amadi who directs the Brain and Imaging Institute at Reichman University.
The scientific and medical team at the company includes Dr. Nira Sporta (also from Sayota), Dr. Shahar Sheli (Rambam), Dr. Yona Weisbuch (Rambam), Dr. Shay Ehrlich, Prof. Itai Hobars, Professor Ofer Tor Sinai and Professor Michal Schwartz, winner of the Israel Science Prize.
The technological team includes Yonatan Kanarik and Lior Bandarsky.
