By ensuring, however, that these anomalies are “without risk to the health of consumers on the water manufactured by the site” of Prahecq in Deux-Sèvres, where the water is taken from groundwater before being bottled.

brand placed on the market and manufactured on the Fiée des Lois site,” the text continues.
The withdrawal of the bottles was initiated on Wednesday, management specifies.
According to La Nouvelle République, the contamination is due to a “pesticide from the groundwater from which the water is taken”, citing the Regional Health Agency.
Analyzes of the spring water detected the presence of “Chlorothalonil” molecules, exceeding “the threshold of vigilance, quality”.
This fungicide, banned from use since 2020 and systematically researched in health checks, had already been detected in the water table in September 2023. But the water remains “drinkable” and does not cause “any health problems”. according to the ARS.
The company bottles nearly 100 million liters of wine each year, or around 90% of the factory's turnover, and packages 45 million bottles of water under the Fiée des Lois brand.
It employs nearly 150 people.
