After a year of record growth boosted by high inflation in food prices, Carrefour is approaching 2024 with confidence and hopes to see its sales continue to climb.
The group's global turnover jumped 10.4% last year, to 94.1 billion euros.
In France, where the group generates almost half of its activity, turnover increased by 4.7%.
Although the operating margin fell slightly, to 2.7%, it was stable in the second half, and net profit increased by 7.6%, exceeding 1.6 billion euros.
