This is a first for the Chinese C919 aircraft.
Its manufacturer, Comac, is presenting it for the first time internationally, as part of the Singapore Airshow, the largest Asian air show, which opened its doors this Tuesday.
The C919 is not only on display, it will perform flight demonstrations.
A showcase for medium-haul which, when the program was launched in 2007, had the stated ambition of breaking the Western Airbus-Boeing duopoly in aircraft with more than 100 passengers.
Seventeen years later, this is not yet the case.
The program, developed in partnership with Western suppliers, notably CFM International, a joint venture between the French Safran and the American GE which supplies the Leap C engine, has experienced delays.
