Anger of farmers: the blockage on the A62 between Agen and Montauban continues this Wednesday

The A62 motorway linking Bordeaux (Gironde) to Toulouse (Haute-Garonne) is blocked between Agen (Lot-et-Garonne) and Montauban (Tarn-et-Garonne) in both directions of traffic since this Tuesday at 6 p.m., indicates Vinci Autoroutes in a press release released this Tuesday evening.

The blockage continues this Wednesday morning, according to the Vinci Autoroutes real-time traffic monitoring site.

Consequence for motorists, you must leave the A62 with exit no. 7 in Agen when driving towards Toulouse and take exit no. 10 in Montauban when going towards Bordeaux.

“It is strongly recommended to find out about the traffic conditions in this sector,” indicates the highway manager.

The blockage extends for some 70 km.

The action began in the middle of the afternoon this Tuesday and "the situation could continue", specifies in a press release the manager of this axis linking Bordeaux to Toulouse.

A road already blocked

At the end of January, the Lot-et-Garonne Rural Coordination had already blocked the A62 near Agen for almost a week, before breaking camp to improvise a convoy towards the Rungis market, south of Paris .

According to France Bleu Occitanie, other actions are underway in Gers with several blockages this Wednesday morning.

The N124 at several levels and the N21 around Miélan are affected.
