The next decades are being prepared now.
The aviation sector as a whole is getting ready to meet the challenge of decarbonization, undoubtedly the most important in its history.
Manufacturers, airlines and airports are exploring different avenues, including sustainable fuels, in the hope of reaching zero carbon by 2050.
The most ambitious lies in the hydrogen plane, which the aeronautics market leader, Airbus, has promised for 2035. If doubts still exist about the viability of the solution and its arrival on such a near horizon, the aircraft manufacturer, remains confident with its program entitled “ZEROe”.
“We are following our roadmap and we will meet deadlines,” says Mathias Andriamisaina, head of tests and test demonstrators.
