A huge contract for Elbit in Australia, as part of the local arming process against China.
Elbit will supply the Australian Army with key components for its new Redback APCs. Each APC will be equipped with a turret with a 30 mm cannon, a spur arrow defense system, equivalent to a Rafale wind jacket, observation systems, a system that detects laser locks on the APC, thus alerting his team that they have been identified by an enemy who is about to launch a missile at them.
The Australian APCs will also be equipped with a situational awareness system, which gives the commander a picture of what is happening outside the APC, through a helmet display, like that of fighter pilots.
Some of the systems are now integrated into the IDF's new Mark 4 Barak chariot tanks, which is supposed to install the wind shield system on the Haitan APCs and the D-9 bulldozers of the Engineering Corps.

The Australian APC is actually the South Korean K21 heavy combat APC, equivalent to the Israeli APC, which will be manufactured in Australia. In separate deals, two other Israeli defense industries will be integrated into the APC: Rafael will supply it with Spike missiles and Pelsan from Kibbutz Sasa part of the armor.
According to the estimates, each Australian APC will have Israeli systems worth more than 2.5 million dollars.
The Australian equipping is part of a major move to upgrade its military forces in the face of Chinese intensification. Australia will be equipped for the first time with nuclear submarines with American assistance, purchasing stealth F-35 aircraft, and more.

This deal for Elbit comes after it was announced last week that the company won a new contract in the amount of 300 million dollars to supply systems for armored vehicles to a country in Western Europe.
The contract includes weapons, patrol, driving and situational awareness systems for about 230 armored vehicles.
The contract will be executed over a period of 6 years, and includes custom design, manufacturing, maintenance for the life of the product, and full in-country product support.
These are similar systems to those supplied by Elbit for the IDF's Merkava tanks and armored personnel carriers and Eitan that operate in the Gaza Strip and gain important operational experience with them.
Elbit does not specify the name of the country, but there are not many countries on the continent today with armored vehicle fleets on such a scale, especially Sweden, the Czech Republic and Germany, most of which are equipped with the Swedish armored CV90 APC or the Finnish Patria wheeled APC.
