Rail traffic has been completely interrupted in Le Havre since midday on Monday.
The cause was the fall of a tree on electrical installations between the Étainhus-Saint-Romain and Saint-Laurent-Gainneville stations (Seine-Maritime), on the line linking Le Havre and Paris.
Passengers stranded
According to SNCF, agents are intervening, but traffic is not expected to resume before 8 p.m.
Traffic has been completely interrupted between Le Havre and Bréauté-Beuzeville, which has an impact on travel to and from Paris and Rouen.
This interruption must make it possible to check and repair, if necessary, the affected installations.

On its website, the SNCF invites those who can to postpone their trips.
To avoid blocking all travelers, the departure station of certain trains has been modified, in particular those going from Le Havre to Paris, which will leave in the afternoon from Bréauté - Beuzeville.

According to the regional daily Paris Normandie, travelers are currently stranded on a train which was traveling when the tree fell.
Other trains would be blocked in Le Havre and Yvetot stations.
