Designed for Back to School. For the next 30 days, both imported shoes and school supplies can be paid in 3 and 6 installments.

Starting this Monday and for the next 30 days, the Ministry of Commerce incorporates the possibility of paying

for imported school supplies and footwear products in 3 or 6 installments

with reduced interest rates through the Simple Fee program.

This was reflected in Resolution 75/2024, published this Monday in the Official Gazette.

Simple Quota, like its predecessor Now 12,

covers only goods produced in the country,

with the exception of LED lamps

.

However, in order to provide more consumer options within the framework of the start of classes,

Commerce extended the program until next March 26

to school footwear and bookstore items produced outside the country, which will now also

be able to Paid in 3 or 6 installments with bank credit cards.

The measure seeks to "diversify the supply of bookstore items and school footwear so that they can be marketed with the types of financing of the Simple Fee Program," the recitals state.

In addition, the need to "promote policies aimed at facilitating the right to access to education" is cited.

The Simple Fee program,

national in scope and valid every day of the week,

also allows payment

in 3 or 6 installments for other products

linked to the return to school such as

computers, notebooks, tablets, books and glasses.

The rate is 85% of the interest of the fixed terms established by the Central Bank (BCRA) for 30 days, updating automatically on the third business day after the BCRA eventually modifies it.

That is, with the percentage subsidized by the State, the Simple Fee rate totals 93.5%.
