This video-on-demand service is included in Prime, the premium subscription to the Amazon online commerce platform, which also allows faster order deliveries.

The new formula with advertising was already introduced in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and Canada at the beginning of the year and we knew that it was going to arrive in other countries, including France, without yet knowing the date or the price.

“From April 9, 2024, Prime Video films and series will include advertising in limited quantities (...) We aim to have significantly fewer advertisements than classic linear television and other streaming services

It costs 5.99 euros per month, compared to 13.49 for the cheapest ad-free offer.

For its part, Disney+ switched its subscribers to a new offer in November, Premium, at 11.99 euros per month, or 3 more than the old one.

To return to 8.99 euros, you must subscribe to a new offer called Standard (where the sound and image quality are lower and the number of screens authorized simultaneously is limited to 2, compared to 4 in Premium).

This was accompanied by the launch of a formula with advertising, at 5.99 euros monthly.
