The Apple Car just crashed.
Ten years after the start of the first research and development work, the 2,000 employees dedicated to this electric and autonomous car project have just learned that they were going to have to move on to something else.
According to Bloomberg, which revealed the information, a large number of them will be reassigned to the design and deployment of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools, the innovation that has dominated Silicon Valley for the past year.
The others will be thanked.
Apple's project, called Titan, had never been clearly presented by the Cupertino (California) group.
But billions of dollars have indeed been swallowed up in the technological sea serpent of the Apple Car.
During the first years, the recruitment of experts in this field, poached from Tesla or Fiat Chrysler, was enough to give substance to the rumors.
