Hence the merciless war that the public authorities have been waging against it for many years.
In 2021, a first vast control plan was deployed, making it possible in the first year to remove nearly 10 million fake products from the market (compared to 5.64 million the previous year), then 11 million the following year and 20 million in 2023. Building on this success, Bercy is launching a new section for the next three years.
The date is not chosen at random.
The Olympic Games which will take place this summer in the capital will undoubtedly arouse the desires of counterfeiters, particularly for the numerous derivative products.
But there is no question for the government that they will disrupt the smooth running of this extraordinary sporting event.
