Highlights: Negotiations on employment: employers ask for a senior permanent contract, the government is skeptical. This contract would be offered to those aged 60 and over, with an end determined by the employee's full retirement age. The challenge to be taken up is particularly ambitious: to raise the activity rate of 60-64 year olds, from 33% currently to… 65% by 2030. “It’s difficult to see clearly the employers’ intentions, everything is still very vague,” says Olivier Guivarch, national secretary of the CFDT.

The clock is ticking.

There is less than a month left for the social partners to find the alpha and omega of the measures intended to boost the activity rate of seniors.

The challenge to be taken up, set by the executive in the wake of the pension reform, is particularly ambitious: to raise the activity rate of 60-64 year olds, from 33% currently to… 65% by 2030.

In the meantime, the discussions initiated since January, one day a week, continue at a senatorial pace.

This Friday again, it will be a question of going around the table of all the proposals.

“Everyone must make a summary of their demands” report several participants, without for the moment the outline of white smoke for an agreement emerging.

“January was devoted to the diagnosis, February to the leads of each one.

The executive has set the end of March for us to succeed,” recalls Olivier Guivarch, national secretary of the CFDT.

“It’s difficult to see clearly the employers’ intentions, everything is still very vague.

We will have to wait until Thursday March 7 before the negotiations get serious and serious things begin,” warns Christelle Thieffinne, the CFE-CGC negotiator.
