Equipped with a harness, a rope and a self-locking handle, Tom supervises the installation of his wooden cabin, perched ten meters higher in the trees, capable of accommodating four sleeping bags.
With around sixty comrades, gathered notably in the Grünheide forest, around the Robin des Bois association, the 28-year-old anti-Tesla activist set up camp on Saturday for an indefinite period in this patch of forest.
He will stay there, he says, until the car manufacturer gives up clearing 110 hectares to expand its factory.
The young man wants to be a member of an alternative, self-managed and pacifist space, intended to denounce
the environmental “scam
” which, according to him, constitutes the construction of “
huge
electric cars”.
Hanging at the entrance to the improvised camp, a banner sets the tone.
