How was the # PomellatoForWomen

program born

?

We believe that a brand must express values that are dear to it, linked to its history and its reason for being.

Our founder was particularly inspired by the women of the 1970s, a key period of change and female awareness.

This movement, strongly political at the time, demanded equality and independence, including financial, allowing women greater autonomy in their personal representation and their way of life.

By observing this, our founder saw the emergence of a new woman, for whom he wanted to create jewelry, consistent with this change.

This has resulted in a more “everyday” jewelry offering, but also in an integration of the values of freedom and equality into our brand.

Arriving decades later, I found that, despite progress, challenges remained.

For example, the low representation of women in management positions, gender violence and economic and professional inequalities.

Faced with this, we have used our platform to amplify women's voices, partnering with organizations dedicated to combating domestic violence and promoting equal opportunities.

How did you achieve a workforce of 70% women at Pomellato?

Honestly, we don't follow strict quotas, I'm not in favor of them, although it is true that they can be very useful in moving the lines.

But we ensure that women are well represented in recruitment processes.

The objective is to choose the most competent candidates, while ensuring not to perpetuate gender stereotypes.

Why is gender equality, and specifically the fight against violence against women, particularly close to your heart?

As a woman of privilege, having enjoyed freedoms and opportunities, I feel a responsibility to help those who are not as fortunate.

Besides, if women don't support each other, who will?

What do you think are the future challenges in terms of

empowerment

?

It is essential to change behaviors and combat the cognitive biases that influence the perception of women in the professional environment and beyond.

This is a long-term struggle, requiring collective awareness and a commitment to supporting gender equality at all levels.
