An investigation has been opened in France by the financial prosecutor's office (PNF) into suspicions of corruption around the Altice telecoms group, already targeted by investigations in Portugal for the same offenses, a judicial source said on Friday.
The investigation was opened in September 2023 for corruption of persons not holding public office, money laundering and concealment of these offenses following the arrest by the Portuguese authorities of Armando Pereira, right-hand man of the man French business Patrick Drahi, owner of Altice, said this source, confirming information from Bloomberg.
