Times are tough for Maisons du Monde.
This Tuesday, the group revealed its financial results for the year 2023: they are not good.
In the space of a year, the distributor's sales fell by 9.3%, to reach 1.13 billion euros.
The group's net profit was divided by three, or 8.8 million euros, after having already fallen by half in 2022.
“Maisons du Monde was probably too optimistic, when we were
delighted with historic results post-Covid”
, recognized the general director of the company François-Melchior de Polignac on the sidelines of the presentation.
The brand is in fact far from its excellent results of 2021, a year during which it recorded a record profit of 79.1 million euros.
