The Cercle de Giverny is launching, next Wednesday, at the Ministry of Ecological Transition, with the participation of Minister Christophe Béchu, a new network to bring together actors involved in corporate governance.
“
To transform business models, it is essential to get boards of directors on board, because they are essential levers,
”
explains Romain Mouton, president of the Cercle, which also organizes the Giverny Forum, an annual meeting focused on CSR issues - the sixth edition of which is scheduled for September 13.
The objective of this think tank: to enable “
the sharing of good practices and the creation of synergies
”.
Several personalities are already up for participating.
Among them, Marie-Claire Daveu, director of sustainable development and institutional affairs at Kering (also director of Crédit Agricole, Engie and Ponant) and Alexis Zajdenweber, director general of the State Participation Agency (APE) in Bercy.
“
Faced with the increase in the general level of risks, companies are becoming increasingly aware of their role in society.
The board of directors, which must ensure that the interests of all stakeholders are taken into account, is at the heart of these issues ,
”
underlines Antoine Gosset-Grainville, chairman of the board of directors of Axa.
“
CSR must be integrated into the heart of the strategy, not aside.
It’s the best way for everyone to make it their own ,
”
says Agnès Touraine, chairwoman of the board of directors of Rexel.
