The United States sends a message to TikTok at the same time as China.
A bill passed by the House of Representatives on Wednesday, forcing the Chinese owner of the powerful video social network to sell it to American shareholders, could result in a total ban on TikTok.
This text was adopted by 352 votes to 65, in a bipartisan vote that has become quite rare in Congress.
It must now be voted on by the Senate before coming into force.
Joe Biden has said he is ready to sign the measure once it passes.

TikTok's parent company, about five months to sell it.
If the transfer does not occur within this period, the application will no longer be downloadable from the Apple or Google mobile application stores.
