Bogged down for almost ten years, the Franco-German tank of the future project is finally getting to the heart of the matter.
An industrial agreement has been reached, announced Sébastien Lecornu, Minister of the Armed Forces, and his German counterpart Boris Pistorius from Berlin.

We have agreed on the distribution of all tasks for this major project
”, specifies the German Minister of Defense, describing this agreement as “
historic
”.
It is in fact
“a structuring program for the land armies of the two countries, fundamentally structuring for Europe and even structuring for NATO
,” adds Sébastien Lecornu.
The heavy combat tank of the future Franco-German must in fact provide a successor to the French Leclerc and the German Leopard, by 2040.
