In a defense of the State's adjustment plan that is summarized in the metaphor of Javier Milei's chainsaw, Luis Caputo advanced and this Thursday explained why he believes that "public companies must all be privatized."
"There are many who are in the State for business, it is full of businesses everywhere. I see them a lot
in Infrastructure, they think about things to achieve a return
," launched the Minister of Economy, who absorbed that area in the Milei government, after the departure of Guillermo Ferraro from the cabinet.
And he went further with state companies.
"In public companies there are constant negotiations," said Caputo, who confessed that this idea initially seemed exaggerated.
"The public sector really needs to be made smaller," the minister said, but he showed an obstacle in the chainsaw: "The permanent plant is a complication and it is also very expensive to throw them out," he said, giving the case of the Télam news agency as an example. .
