Coming to shake up a humming but promising market: this is the new objective of Free which is launching this Tuesday in remote surveillance.
The telecom operator's 7.4 million Internet subscribers will be able to benefit from a reduction on Qiara remote monitoring products and services.
If this French start-up, launched a little over a year ago, is completely independent from the Iliad group (owner of Free), it is nonetheless an in-house creation.
At the head of this young company, we find a former general manager of Iliad, Alexis Bidinot, who left the group in 2020 with a handful of engineers and employees.
The shareholder of the telecommunications group, Xavier Niel, bet on the young company to the tune of 14 million euros.
After a year of marketing and already “several thousand users”, Qiara is moving up a gear by partnering directly with Free.
