Be careful if you have recently purchased a child's soft toy or comforter from a professional sports club, particularly football.
Six products from the Poupluche brand are the subject of a recall, the Rappel Conso website announced this Monday, March 25, mainly due to a risk of access to the stuffing of soft toys, which could thus be ingested by young children.
These are the “Orsu standing plush” from the AC Ajaccio club, the “Doudou Vik” from SM Caen, the “Doudou Saly” from Le Havre AC, the “Maurice mascot plush” from TFC, the “Porte -Billy mascot keys” from US Créteil and finally from the “Gothiques Amiens mascot plush toy”, the city’s ice hockey club.

Products marketed during the end-of-year holidays
All of these products were sold between December 1, 2023 and March 11, when they were removed from shelves.
They were on sale in the official stores of the clubs concerned, namely Ajaccio, Caen, Le Havre, Toulouse, Créteil and Amiens, but also on the websites of the clubs (with the exception of Créteil).
The Ajaccio plush toy and the Havre and Caen cuddly toys saw some of their seams give way after a safety test, which makes “the padding accessible”.
This presents a risk of ingestion by young children, making the product non-compliant for safety reasons.
In Amiens and Toulouse, it is the “rigid parts” located respectively on the tail and the arms of the soft toys which are defined as “dangerous for children under 10 months and children who cannot sit up on their own” , again due to a risk of ingestion, then of suffocation for a very young child.
Finally, the US Créteil key ring has a “metal hook that may break”.
If you have one of these products, from one of the recalled batches, you are invited to no longer use them and return them to the store until May 10.
An exchange or refund will be made according to the recall procedure.
