“I referred to the London Olympics, where the average price was multiplied by 1.8. Usually I rent between €80 and €100 per night. For the Olympics, I rent my apartment for €250 per night,”

Joëlle, 66, has also decided to increase the price of the night in her brick house in Lille.
“I doubled the price.
I paid the same for the Olympics as for the Lille clearance sale, i.e. €100 per night,”
she says.

“In July-August, there is no one in Lille.
It is a time when the people of Lille take their vacation.
The Olympics are coming at just the right time.
The sale was even postponed to mid-September,”
