The bill for health insurance has more than doubled in twenty years, from 2.3 billion in 2003 to 5.5 billion in 2022. And in these times of budgetary scarcity, the cost of medical transport, in ambulances, light medical vehicles (VSL) or approved taxis is scrutinized with the greatest attention by the government.

A first step has also been taken with the acceleration of the deployment of shared transport voted in the 2024 Social Security financing law. From now on, unless there is a medical exemption, health carpooling will be the norm for patients going to an appointment you by approved taxi or VSL.
