Swimming: Europeans in short tubs, Paltrinieri and Panziera gold

Olympic champion Gregorio Paltrinieri won the 1500 Europeans freestyle competition in an indoor pool, in Glasgow. The Italian finished with a time of 14'17 "14 and preceded the Norwegian Henrik Christiansen (silver) and the French David Aubry (bronze).

Margherita Panziera won the gold medal in the 200 backstroke European Championships in short-course swimming in Glasgow. The Venetian athlete finished with a time of 2: 01.45, ahead of the Ukrainian Davina Zevina (2: 02.25), silver medal, and the Dutch Kira Toussaint (2: 03.04).

The Italian Ilaria Bianchi won the silver medal in the race of the 200 butterfly women of the European Championships in short swimming, underway in Glasgow. The gold went to the Hungarian Katinka Hosszu.
