A week after she was fatally injured in a car accident and fought for her life - the actress Anne Haish passed away (Friday).
Last week Aish was connected to the ventilator.
She was in a coma and never regained consciousness.
Last night, a representative of her family said that she would be taken off the ventilator after she was declared brain dead.
This evening she was indeed disconnected from the devices and passed away.
Last Friday, Haish was driving her car on a suburban street in Los Angeles and crashed into the garage of an apartment complex.
According to the TMZ website, bystanders tried to help Hayes out of the vehicle, but she backed up and continued speeding until she crashed into another house, where her car burst into flames.
In a video shot from the air, it can be seen that the vehicle crashed deep inside the building, and the smoke was billowing out of it.
Hayes was taken away on a stretcher while conscious by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The 53-year-old Hayes gained recognition when she starred in the soap opera "Another World" between 1987 and 1991, which earned her an Emmy Award for daytime programming.
She became more mainstream in the late 1990s with roles in films such as Donnie Brasco, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Six Days, Seven Nights and Back to Malaysia.
She also starred on television in series such as "Men on Trees", "Equipped" and recently in the series "The Court!".
She was soon to star alongside singer The Weeknd in The Idol, a new series from Euphoria creator Sam Levinson.
Haish was in a relationship with comedian Ellen DeGeneres from 1997 to 2000. Seven years later, she married actor James Tupper, who starred alongside her in "Men in Trees," and the two divorced in 2018.
She left behind two sons.
