Exit Pieter Elbers.
The flamboyant boss of KLM will leave his post no later than April 30, 2023. The decision was announced Thursday evening in a press release:
“The Air France-KLM Board of Directors has approved the decision of the KLM Supervisory Board , taken in close consultation with Pieter Elbers, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of KLM, according to which Pieter Elbers will not serve a third term.
All the words are weighed to accredit the idea that this exit is done by mutual agreement.
In the KLM press release, the Dutch leader wants to be soothing:
“After two terms, more than eight years of leadership as CEO of KLM, I pass the baton with confidence.”
