The first president of the Paris Court of Appeal has given his consent for the November 13 trial to be fully filmed and recorded, it is stated in an order consulted by Le Parisien.
A request in this direction had been formulated by the public prosecutor against terrorism.

About 300 lawyers are expected to take the stand.
Nearly 1,800 civil parties will also participate.

This trial will take place in a brand new courtroom, in the historic courthouse of the capital, on the Ile de la Cité. It is quite simply the largest ever built in the country. With its 750 m2, 45 meters long and 15 meters wide, it can accommodate no less than 550 people. Remember that the accused will not be tried by a popular jury but by five professional magistrates. The work of the courtroom, which began in January 2020, was completed in June. The work cost 7,5 million euros.

"The recording of this trial will make it possible to demonstrate before history how a democracy has been led to try defendants for criminal terrorist acts", continues the ordinance.
All this while ensuring respect for the right to a fair trial, respect for adversarial proceedings, the exercise of the rights of the defense and guaranteeing the rights of victims.
The images thus collected will serve to constitute the historical archives of justice.
