The General Company for Metallurgical Industries, Barada, achieved during the first half of this year sales worth about 3 billion Syrian pounds, and completed its entire plan for 2022 within six months for some of its products, which numbered 20 items and different sizes.
The company's general manager, Ali Abbas, said in a statement to SANA reporter: The company implemented, during the mentioned period, the entire plan for the year 2022 to assemble semi-automatic and automatic 8 kg washing machines, amounting to 1,000 washing machines, which are witnessing great demand, and are currently working on adding a quarter of the quantity to be implemented during the remaining period of the year.
Abbas indicated that the company is continuing to produce refrigerators of various sizes, five- and four-head gas ovens, ovens, heaters, and electric fans that operate on gas with an electronic panel, in addition to “Cooler” water coolers, as the implementation of this year’s plan of 200 coolers was also completed during the same period.
Abbas revealed that the company currently has a plan to produce mixers, laser cookers, fans that operate on electricity, the battery, and the freezer, indicating that the company's sales of all products during the first six months of this year amounted to about 3 billion pounds, indicating that sales are made in cash and in installments through Syrian trade halls in all governorates, the military and social establishment, and the hall of the Omran Foundation in Lattakia, in addition to the company’s halls in several governorates, and a new hall for the company will be opened soon in Aleppo.
With regard to the placement of the machines in the company’s factory, Abbas said that, with national expertise, the micron machine was completed and put into service. It is used for plastic injection and produces a mold every 30 seconds, in addition to the CNC machine and the two spark and wire cutting machines that are ready for investment by all parties during the operation. to others.
Regarding the company’s investment plan, Abbas explained that a contract was signed to rehabilitate and maintain a 150-ton press, at a value of 89 million Syrian pounds, to re-manufacture metal pots “pots,” despite the labor shortage it suffers from, as the number of workers is currently only 107, while their number was 1,000 before. The war in addition to the shortage of administrative and technical cadres.
Abbas indicated that the company is seeking to return to the company's main headquarters in Sbeinet al-Soghra in Damascus countryside, which was destroyed due to terrorism, after completing its rehabilitation work.
The General Company for Metallurgical Industries, Barada, consists mainly of three factories: Barada Factory, which was dedicated to the production of refrigerators, the Home Equip Factory for the production of ovens and pots, which are currently completely destroyed, and the molds factory located in the Hosh Blas area, which was transferred during the war to the company’s headquarters in 2014.
