One of the most important German-speaking accounts on the short message service Twitter has been blocked since Monday evening.
On the account of "Anonymous Germany" there are no more tweets to be seen, only the message appears that the account has been suspended.
The lock came just a few hours after Anonymous activists spread information about their campaign against Attila Hildmann via the network.
With their action called "Operation Tinfoil", the activists took over websites and several Telegram channels from Hildmann.
In addition, the activists stated in a blog post on their website that they had numerous internal e-mails from Hildmann and hinted at some alleged contents of the private messages.
They distributed a link to the blog post on Twitter with the statement: "We have his mail." (Read more about the anonymous campaign here)
Exactly these statements could have become the undoing of the activists on Twitter.
As a reason for the blocking, a Twitter spokesman said on request: »It is not allowed to tweet other people's private information without their permission.
This also includes content that has been illegally acquired or hacked. "
Hildmann incites against IT helpers
In fact, Twitter has been trying for some time to crack down on the spread of private information or information obtained through hacking.
For example, Twitter temporarily blocked a newspaper article in the "New York Post" that allegedly relied on material from a laptop that was allegedly stolen from Hunter Biden.
Twitter later reversed the decision.
As in the past, Twitter referred in the current case to its own guidelines for the distribution of hacked material.
In addition, the Anonymous account is said to have violated the guidelines on private information and on "platform manipulation and spam" in the current case, according to a spokesman.
The blocking of the account is permanent.
Hildmann meanwhile rushed on Telegram against his former IT helper, who is said to have helped the Anonymous activists to take over his accounts and to get access to the private e-mails.
The right-wing extremist also distributed private photos and information.
Telegram, however, has not yet intervened.
The platform is known for deleting extremist content very rarely.
