The Pierre Fabre laboratory filed a complaint against X following a cyberattack on March 31, which caused the shutdown of a large part of the production of its pharmaceutical and cosmetic products.

," the communications department of the third French laboratory, headquartered in Castres, Tarn, told AFP on Wednesday.
The complaint targets a "
fraudulent introduction of data into an automated processing system
", according to the Castres prosecutor's office.

Disruptions continued to affect production sites, but a return to normal is expected in the coming days, according to the company.
In a statement the day after the attack, the pharmaceutical group announced that the spread of the computer virus was "
completely contained
".
Pierre Fabre, an unlisted group, achieved a turnover of 2.2 billion euros in 2020, of which 65% abroad.
It has several business segments, dermo-cosmetics constituting the majority of its sales (around 60%).
Pierre Fabre, pharmacist and founder in 1962 of this company, died in 2013 at the age of 87.
The group is 86% owned by the Pierre Fabre Foundation.
