After a year of famine for shareholders, dividends and share buybacks are back.
"The champions of the CAC 40 should pay 41 billion euros in dividends this year
" advance Florian Allain, manager at Mandarine Gestion.
Last year with the health crisis, shareholders had to settle for 28.6 billion euros.
This effort does not make it possible to catch up with the amounts paid before the crisis.
In 2019, CAC 40 companies had disbursed more than 49 billion euros.
However, this is excellent news.
The coupons paid this year are for 2020, a year during which the profits of CAC 40 companies had halved.
