Exciting history in the world of comics: Superman - one of the most beloved and oldest superheroes - comes out of the closet. The "DC" comics empire, the company behind the comic book that also features Superman, announced last night (Monday) that John Kent - the son of Clark Kent (the original Superman) and his journalistic lover Lois Lane - will be featured as a bisexual in an issue to be published in less than a month .
The comic book plot focuses at this time on John Kent, the son of Clark and Lewis, known in the comic books as "Earth's Superman." Jonathan also falls in love with a journalist named Jay Nakamura and according to a photo posted on social media - the two are seen kissing passionately. Other than that, the comic book plot was not revealed. Series writer Tom Taylor told the BBC: "When I was offered to be the writer of Superman, I asked myself 'how should Superman be today?' I told myself it would be a huge miss if we replaced Clark Kent with another white man and straight. "
Taylor added that he does not want this move to be perceived as bold and unprecedented.
"There has been a real change over the last few years. Fifteen years ago this move was more complex to implement. I think that move is welcome."
