Goldman Sachs is opening a new chapter in its history in Paris.
The American bank is moving into a new, completely renovated building on avenue Marceau on Monday, just a few meters from the Place de l'Etoile and the Arc de Triomphe.
These luxurious premises of 9,000 m2 on six floors, much larger than the previous ones, symbolize the new ambitions of the firm in France, where it opened its first office thirty-five years ago.
"This space is part of the group's strategy to increase its presence in France and Europe"
, underlines the investment bank.
In a few years, it will have quadrupled its Parisian workforce, going from a hundred people in 2015 to more than 400 in the coming months.
The ranks could continue to grow, as the new building can accommodate up to 500 bankers.
