The traditional British manufacturer Rolls-Royce sold almost 50 percent more cars last year than last year. A total of 5586 buyers around the world signed the contract for a luxury car, as the BMW subsidiary announced on Monday. 2021 was a "phenomenal year" for Rolls-Royce, said company boss Torsten Müller-Ötvös. 2021 was unpredictable. "In the luxury sector, it wasn't so much about finding customers as it was about making enough products to meet the huge demand."
Rolls-Royce has delivered more cars than ever in the company's 117-year history.
All over the world there was great demand - for example for the basic model "Ghost" or the 2.6-ton SUV "Cullinan".
Rolls-Royce is currently working on its first electric model called the “Specter”.
The order books are also filled well into the third quarter of 2022.
