Implementing a mix of Italian technologies, such as super computers, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and new software, alongside training, to have specialized personnel and spread awareness of the risks of cyber attacks: these are the pillars on which to develop full cybersecurity at national level, presented during the two days of Cybertech Europe 2022, the most important European event in the sector which saw the participation of thousands of visitors and more than 90 companies and start-ups from over 50 countries.
"The
digital transformation
has upset every sector, from agriculture to transport, but we continue not to have the necessary awareness of it ", said Roberto Baldoni, director of the National Cybersecurity Agency (Acn), speaking at the opening of the second day of Cybertech Europe. Baldoni underlined what Italy and Europe have been completely immobile on cyber security issues for years, both on the technological and attention fronts, so much so that, he recalled, a recent Censis report highlighted that 40% of Italian managers have no awareness of digital threats "
The transformations have been very rapid and we have not been able to follow them, now we have to accelerate," he added.

A hi-tech solution comes from
Cyber Information Superiority
, a package of tools developed by Leonardo and which also brings together supercomputers and Artificial Intelligence.
"This new tool seeks to achieve the so-called information superiority, that is to be able to have valuable information, which gives an advantage against cyber criminals and allows them to anticipate their moves", observed Massimo Tedeschi, Head of Innovation of the Cyber & Security Division Solutions by Leonardo.
The new tool combines
three platforms
: the first is called
Cyber Threat Intelligence
, which uses a supercomputer capable of performing 500,000 billion operations per second to recognize the type of attack in progress and compare the attackers' modus operandi in the online archives;
the second is
Lens
, which identifies anomalies and implements immediate responses;
the third,
Argo
, is able to isolate the attack and create a secure virtual space where it can 'detonate', with the dual purpose of protecting the attacked network and studying how the attack would develop.
In this way, new data will be obtained which, in a virtuous circle, can help the early identification of attacks.
