The health ministry in the southern Indian state of Kerala said tests on the 22-year-old victim who died on July 30 "
show the man had monkeypox
".
This death is the fourth linked to this disease outside of Africa.
Indeed, Spain announced this weekend the death of 2 people in connection with this epidemic.
A 41-year-old man also died in Brazil on Friday.
They bring to nine the number of deaths linked to the disease since May.
