A few days after a similar rescue, a patrol of the Orvieto traffic police, along the A1 motorway, just before the Fabro toll booth, rescued two puppies of a few weeks old who were moving dangerously between the lanes of scrolling.
The policemen slowed down the traffic then recovered the two puppies, which ended up in the middle of the roadway.
Three other puppies of the same litter were instead hit by the cars in transit.
The surviving puppies were taken to the offices of the traffic police department and, after being fed by the police, they were subjected to the care of the veterinarian and then entrusted to two families.
The next day another dog, from the same litter, was found in approximately the same place and was recovered by the highway staff who delivered her to the Polstrada of Orvieto. Also in this case it was entrusted to a family who requested it. Investigations are underway to verify whether the puppies have been lost from a vehicle in transit or abandoned.
In recent days, still in the Umbrian section of the A1, near the Attigliano tollbooth, the Terni traffic police had recovered two German shepherds who were dangerously slowing down traffic.
