A leap into the not-so-distant future.

For its return to a “hybrid” format, the VivaTech trade fair takes place in a single hall where it has concentrated inventions and experiments for a family audience.

To enforce social distancing, the gauge is set this Saturday, a day open to the general public, at 5,000 visitors and you have to arrive with your health pass in paper format or on the TousAntiCovid application.

When purchasing the ticket online (10 to 15 euros), three slots are offered to facilitate comings and goings: 9 to 12 noon, 12 to 3 p.m. or 3 to 6 p.m.

Once dressed with sesame, head to Porte de Versailles.

Here are our 5 unmissable pit stops.

At the controls of a tram

On the RATP group's stand, an immersive simulator invites you to sit in the place of a Washington tram operator (United States).

The visitor accelerates, brakes when approaching a stop and manages energy consumption.

The level of detail of the experience has been brought closer to reality: for example, the doors must be aligned with the platform before opening them.

"It is not a tool for learning the trade, but it makes you feel the inertia and the same sensations as on a real line", assures the RATP.

The simulation session lasts three minutes and is punctuated by an astonishing instruction well known to real drivers: “don't forget the day before.

»An audible signal asks to activate the button and check that the pilot is indeed active or has not been unwell.

No flight demonstration on site but you can board this autonomous transport drone.

Just behind, the young French shoot Caps unveils a model of its single-seater flying capsule that it hopes to see in the air within two years.

Another French start-up presents its autonomous shuttle Milla which wants to impose itself in public transport on the roads of peri-urban areas.

Finally, an impressive Formula E electric racing car from DSAutomobiles sits in the middle of all these transport vehicles that will be part of our daily lives before the end of the decade.

The robot dog in action

Attraction of the event, Spot, the robot-dog from Boston Dynamic, offers itself a rare outing in a European consumer show.

The 32 kg animal is operated by remote control and can carry measurement or inspection tools.

You have to see it climb and descend stairs with flexibility to realize the technological prowess at work.

His performance in action narrows the gap with science fiction like never before.

The French start-up Bodyo presents its Aipod, a telehealth booth. In six minutes, the patient performs a battery of 26 vital measurements such as respiratory or heart rate, but also blood pressure or blood oxygen saturation. The sensors will analyze his state of health and offer a teleconsultation with a doctor in the event of a problem. It is also available in an open version for claustrophobic patients. A serious avenue to overcome the medical deserts. A first copy will be installed at the start of the school year in Nice (Alpes-Maritimes) before spreading throughout France.
