Monday, July 4, a
“notification of grievances”
was sent to four companies, including Schneider Electric, Legrand and Rexel named by the Authority, for suspicions of an agreement on prices between manufacturers and their distributors in France.
This is what the competition police explained on Wednesday July 6, revealing that an investigation had been opened in 2018, following a report from the French Anti-Corruption Agency and an article published in
Mediapart
, dated April 2018. The online media accused Schneider, Legrand, Rexel but also Sonepar, the French number one in electrical distribution, of having
"put in place a hidden price agreement mechanism"
.
The competition policeman, however, did not give the name of the fourth company targeted, even if it specified that it was a distributor, arguing that it was not…
