SNCF strike: traffic will be severely disrupted on Wednesday on RER, Transilien, TER and TGV lines

2022-07-04T15:40:46.948Z

Two out of five TER trains, one out of three Intercity trains and two out of three Ouigo trains, among others, will be running this Wednesday. In question: a strike of the employees

After the mess in the airports, here are the complications in the stations.

The strike of railway workers and employees of the SNCF at the call of all the unions, this Wednesday, will disrupt traffic.

The company foresees the circulation on average of 2 out of 5 TER and 1 out of 3 Intercités. The main lines will be less affected.

The SNCF provided 3 out of 4 InOui TGVs on the North and Atlantic axis, 3 out of 5 for the East axis and 4 out of 5 trains in the south-east region.

Finally, travelers can count on 2 Ouigo out of 3.

Ile-de-France traffic slows down

Ile-de-France traffic, already strongly impacted on Monday by a social movement, will also be idling.

There will only be 1 RER out of 2, in addition to line A, which will not be affected.

Same proportion for the J, L, N, R and U lines, and 1 train out of 3 for the H and the P. telework, we support at SNCF Voyageurs.

Those affected by the cancellation of their train will be contacted by email or SMS on Monday in order to be placed on another train as much as possible or to be reimbursed free of charge.

This strike comes as a "round table for wages" is organized by the management of the railway group, this Wednesday morning, with the unions.

The employee representatives intend to obtain a “general increase”.

“We don't want a bonus policy, but a real increase in our income to cope with the galloping inflation, which we all suffer, insists Thomas Clavel, general secretary of the CFDT Cheminots.

This strike, the day of the negotiations, is significant of the expectation and of the social emergency.

The unions do not rule out other movements this summer

Last week, the CEO of the SNCF, Jean-Pierre Farandou, still hoped at the microphone of France Inter to be able to "limit the scope of the strike", by conducting negotiations within the company.

A “conciliation meeting”, with the unions, did take place this Friday, but it did not lead to a lifting of notice.

“We have not obtained satisfaction, we confirm to Unsa Ferroviaire.

The management did not make any satisfactory proposal.

“We hope this time that she will become aware of the expectations of employees”, slips Thomas Clavel, who “does not exclude” other social movements, in particular during weekends of great departures on vacation, if the “claims are not heard”.
