Official data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in China revealed that the country's food industry recorded a steady growth in terms of production and sales in the first four months of this year.
The data released today, according to Xinhua, indicated that "the industrial output of the agricultural and side food processing sector increased by 4.7 percent year on year during the mentioned period, and the value added of the food industries sector increased by 4.5 percent, while the added value of the beverage manufacturing sectors increased by 4.5 percent. and tea by 9.2 percent year on year.
The data showed that during the period from January to April, the retail sales of cereals, oils and food commodities amounted to 593.6 billion yuan, equivalent to 87.96 billion US dollars, an increase of 9.5 percent year on year, while sales of beverages and tobacco grew by 10.4 percent and 7.8 percent, respectively. .
