Cars
September was a good month for the automotive sector.
The sale of 0 km cars rose 13.3% compared to August, while used cars continue in this same line.
Month by month the used car market is showing a rebound in its sales.
The Automotive Chamber of Commerce (CCA) reported that during September the activity grew by 4.10%, but in 2020 sales
will not exceed 1,400,000 units
, which means 20% less than in 2019.
According to the CEC report, this occurs because in the months of March, April and May the stores were practically closed and
about 230,000 units were lost from marketing
(monthly average for those three months).
The stock in car dealerships is at the limit.
The Chamber emphasizes that if sales had continued their normal rhythm, the volume to be marketed during the year would be at the same numbers as last year: 1,700,000 units.
A survey carried out by this institution at the national level showed that despite the increase in sales, there is a
reduction in the market
.
There are not so many consultations in the premises or in the virtual platforms.
The report detailed that the fury for the purchase has dropped especially in the interior that was the one that was pulling.
In contrast, the AMBA is gradually returning to pick up the pace.
From the CEC they assure that this problem worsens as the months go by due to the
lack of stocks in the agencies
.
"They are at the limit and there is no replacement. The lack of delivery of 0km cars and individuals who ask for what the cars are not worth, make a combo that is too worrying for the sector," the report says.
Another factor that worries you is
profitability
, since when a car is sold you do not know at what price it is going to be replaced.
"The market is very uncertain despite the movement that is taking place," says the report of the CEC.
In turn, trends show that the public continues to target the purchase of pre-owned cars, specifically from 2016 models onwards.
