The energy company announced on Wednesday that its subscribers will benefit from a bonus if they show sobriety this winter. A gesture of 30 to 120

Saving electricity can pay off twice.

TotalEnergies detailed, on Wednesday, the incentive mechanism for sobriety that it will put in place for its three million subscribers.

Called Bonus Conso, the energy company offers to pay a bonus of between 30 and 120 euros depending on the electricity savings made by a household.

A bonus will be paid proportionally from 5% energy saved and up to 20% savings.

To be able to benefit from it, subscribers must meet a few conditions: they must have subscribed to TotalEnergies since November 2021, occupy the same accommodation since that date and have a Linky communicating meter.

These three criteria are necessary to enable the energy company to calculate the energy savings between the period November 2021-March 2022 and November 2022-March 2023.

The bonus will be added to the lower bill

Thanks to this incentive device, the consumer will benefit from a double income.

First, that generated by lower electricity consumption.

And then this bounty.

By way of example, communicated by the company, a household with an annual consumption of 5,000 kWh, i.e. a bill of 976 euros per year, which will save 10% of energy this winter, will see its bill decrease by 55 euros per compared to last year.

To this drop in consumption will be added the bonus of 60 euros paid by TotalEnergies.

That is a saving of 115 euros.

For 20% savings, the financial gain amounts to 229 euros, including 120 euros in bonuses.

Bonus Conso only concerns electricity subscribers, not gas.

Those concerned will receive an email in October.

This premium will be deducted from the invoice for the month of April 2023.
