Joseph Tegardin, 18, was diagnosed with bone cancer in middle school. He has been subjected to a series of difficult treatments and surgeries.

His father, Joe, decided to fulfill his son's dream of owning a Ford Mustang. Ford CEO Jim Farley was moved by the story and offered to drive the car for the father and son in Charlotte, North Carolina, where the manufacturer's performance division and its race track are located. "I don't know how to drift. I've always been afraid to just try it in a parking lot," says Joseph.
