Two patients infected with the coronavirus died between Friday and Saturday. One, 78, was hospitalized near Padua. The other, 75, lived near Codogno, identified as the center of the epidemic in Italy. It is in this region that the Italian government has decided to take preventive measures. Schools, shops, bars, nightclubs were forced to close their doors to avoid spreading the virus.
Italy is the first European country to see two of its nationals die after being tested positive for coronavirus. In all, there are around fifty infected people across the country.
