A group made up of 12 Mapuches kept

the parish of El Bolsón

occupied for an hour and a half this Friday

.

In their course they beat a priest and held a Franciscan friar against his will.

The militants finally left the place after 1:30 p.m., leaving behind a series of

damage

inside and

very heated spirits

in the Rio Negro community, which in recent months has endured occupations of land in the municipality and individuals by neighbors homeless and lof mapuches.

After the usurpers left the parish from the front, shouting the

typical Mapuche war cries

, the Río Negro Police arrested at least two people in the surrounding areas who were not carrying their documents.

The hooded men took over the Nuestra Señora del Luján parish to claim for the eviction of a 2-hectare property belonging to the Bishopric of San Isidro in Villa Mascardi, 35 kilometers from Bariloche, ordered by the Guarantee Judge Martín Arroyo on October 22 and that occupies the lof Lafken Winkul Mapu.

Destroys in the parish of El Bolsón after the capture.

It is suspected that the militants would not be the same as Mascardi, although it is possible that they have contacts with local Mapuche groups,

Clarín was

able to find out

.

In El Bolsón there is a strong presence of Mapuche communities and social groups that support them even in violent acts.

Although it was not confirmed by the authorities of Río Negro, the Mapuches who took over the parish

would have reached a principle in agreement with the Bishopric of San Isidro

and for this reason they deposed the radical measure.

In any case, the Ministry of Security ordered the arrival of the special COER group of the provincial police.

And, as part of the procedure, they cut off the electricity, water and gas in the parish.

Stains on the walls of the parish after the taking.

At noon on Friday, two women approached the parish and asked priest Ricardo Citadini for permission to go to the bathroom, the priest said.

Minutes later,

10 more people entered

who relentlessly attacked the priest with blows all over the body, he said.

The parish priest managed to flee the Church, but another Franciscan religious who works with him was held until the building was liberated.

“We are investigating who they are by observing the videos.

It could be people related to Mapuche groups from El Bolsón in the San José neighborhood, but we have to confirm it, ”a local source told this newspaper.

The San José neighborhood is where a good part of the

Gallardo Calfú community is located

, who occupied the 400-hectare property in El Foyel.

Destroys in the parish that was taken by a group of Mapuches in El Bolsón.

Inside the church, the militants caused damage and hung an Argentine flag painted with a bloody red stain on the bell tower.

Leaflets

criticizing the figure of the Catholic Church

were also observed in the village

.

"Seven Deadly Sins" is the title of one that was left.

Under this slogan, the sins defined at the dawn of Christianity are noted.

"Lust: characteristic by which many members of the churches are denounced for

abuse, pedophilia and other humiliations,

" the text reads.

The prosecutor who will handle the case is Francisco Arrien, the same one who led the eviction of the El Foyel seizure, which occupied the lof Gallardo Calfú on October 19.

The Mapuches left the church around 1:30 p.m. shouting and walking rapidly through the streets of El Bolsón.

Neighbors watched them fearfully and amazed.

Among them were several young men and women with covered faces.

Three of them carried a Mapuche flag in front.

As it transpired, the unknown persons wanted to stay without a time limit until negotiating with the Bishopric of San Isidro the

suspension of the complaints

that were filed against the lof Lafken Winkul Mapu for the usurpation of Mascardi.

Objective that they would have partially achieved, according to local rumors.

“They wanted to force us to mediate with the bishop of San Isidro (priest Mariano Caraccioli) for Mascardi's property.

There was a communication with him.

He said that he was going to withdraw the complaint, but that he was not going to talk by phone until they left, ”Fray Jorge Peixoto, superior of the Franciscan convent of El Bolsón, admitted to the Río Negro newspaper.

In addition to the damage within the parish, the hooded men attacked a priest and detained a Franciscan.

"This has exceeded any limit,"

complained Bruno Pogliano, mayor of El Bolsón.

The official took aim at Magdalena Odarda, head of the National Institute of Indigenous Affairs (INAI).

"He has a dubious role, his work leaves much to be desired and there is no pacifying attitude," Pogliano said.

On October 27, the bishopric had already given signs of retreat in Mascardi.

He asked Judge Arroyo "to postpone the restitution ordered by the judge until the conditions and protocols that guarantee said measure are in place,

without the use of violence,

" he said.

Meanwhile, the residents of El Bolsón claim that the Ministry of National Security has not kept its word and the area remains without the surveillance of the National Gendarmerie.

The seizure of the parish in El Bolsón is linked to the eviction of another seizure in Villa Mascardi.

On October 22, some 100 policemen from La Pampa arrived in Bariloche to guard the area occupied by the Mapuche community.

But after a few days they had disappeared from Mascardi, confirmed the neighbors who circulated several videos as evidence.

There was also no news about the installation of surveillance cameras.

A high provincial source confirmed that the gendarmes

are in Bariloche, but they are not stationed in Mascardi

.

This Friday, the Secretary of National Security, Gabriel Fuks, reported that they will soon begin with the installation of the devices that will be distributed between Bariloche and El Bolsón along the National Gendarmerie posts on Route 40.

Last September, the Mapuches had abandoned the occupation of a property that belonged to Gas del Estado as part of the secret negotiations they had with Fuks.

However, the villagers say that they have again usurped the land.

Diego Frutos, owner of the burned cabin La Cristalina, shared videos in which it is evidenced that the property

is once again under his power

.

In one of his recordings, he shows how the militants assembled a kind of "miguelitos" that impede the passage to the sector.

"They return to take over the Gas del Estado property and continue to cut down centuries-old trees from the forest to sell firewood," says Frutos on their way.

Bariloche.
