'In search of meaning.
People, places, communities': this is the theme of the third edition of the National Festival of Civil Economy, born from an idea of Federcasse (the National Association of Cooperative Credit Banks, Casse Rurali, Casse Raiffeisen) which promotes it together with Confcooperative, organized and designed with NeXt (Nuova Economia Per Tutti) and Sec (School of Civil Economics) and with the contribution of Fondosviluppo, which will take place from 24 to 26 September in Florence, in the Salone dei Cinquecento in Palazzo Vecchio.
The Festival was launched with a streaming event that featured the president of the European Parliament David Sassoli and the director of the Festival Leonardo Becchetti.
In the three days in Florence, exponents of the academic and institutional world will confront each other and with young people on the acceleration towards a new model of truly sustainable development, after the shock of the pandemic that highlighted, according to the organizers of the Festival, "the many distortions of an unbalanced system that generates inequalities ". Among the participants, according to the announced program, the ministers Enrico Giovannini, Andrea Orlando, Giancarlo Giorgetti, Patrizio Bianchi; the president of Federcasse Augusto dell'Erba; the president of Confcooperative Maurizio Gardini, the president of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences Stefano Zamagni; the 2015 Nobel Prize in Economics Angus Deaton; the president of Asvis Pierluigi Stefanini.
The Festival will also host three awards dedicated to the civil economy: the National Enterprise Award will present 5 good business practices, while the other two are dedicated respectively to Municipalities, and to young people with the National Award preparing for the future, a competition between 7 startups. of civil economy selected throughout the Italian territory, accompanied by the presentation of the best school projects of civil economy collected during the year.
On the evening of Friday 24th there will also be a show with Simone Cristicchi, who will present his new theatrical project 'Happy Next.
