(ANSA) - NEW YORK, OCTOBER 13 - After 50 years the Rolling Stones are retiring "Brown Sugar" because the words describe the horrors of slavery.
The band did not include the 1971 track on their current "No Filter" tour in the United States and now Keith Richards has confirmed to the Los Angeles Times that the blues classic has been removed from the lineup.
"Brown Sugar" was so far in second place among the songs of the Stones most 'brought on stage by the band: the beauty of 1,136 times.
According to 'Rolling Stone' magazine, it was last played in Miami on August 30, 2019. (ANSA).
